E/Education in Spain

International education · A connected outlook

Learn the world.
Keep your roots.

International education is more than learning in English. It connects disciplines, cultures, critical thinking and purpose. Among its models, the International Baccalaureate offers the clearest and most connected pedagogical continuum.

Understand the IB continuum

The right question

Do not ask only “which curriculum?”.
Ask what kind of person it helps develop.

International Baccalaureate

A continuum for thinking, inquiry and action.

The IB combines personal development and academic achievement, values good questions and requires specific authorisation for every IB World School. It is not merely a final examination: it can shape the experience from the early years.

013–12

Primary Years Programme

PYP · PEP

Active, transdisciplinary learning connected to a child's curiosity.

0211–16

Middle Years Programme

MYP · PAI

0316–19

Diploma Programme

DP · PD

Other pathways

British and American, in context.

These are relevant references, but remain secondary here: recognition, accreditation, continuity and university access are what matter.

British model

GCSE · A levels

Usually subject-based and leading to British qualifications. Verify the applicable inspection or accreditation and recognition in Spain.

BSO reports
American model

High School Diploma

It may combine credits, GPA and advanced courses or testing. Accreditation and university-entry requirements must be checked school by school.

Official resources

Before choosing

Four checks that prevent confusion.

01

Exact authorisation

Check the programme authorised for the exact campus; a school name does not mean every site offers the same pathway.

02

Qualification & access

Confirm the qualification awarded and the route into Spanish and international universities.

03

Actual learning language

Ask which subjects are taught in each language and how students are supported through transitions.

04

Experience, not a label

Look for inquiry, assessment, projects, international-mindedness and teacher development in daily practice.

Conversations that build

Let’s talk about the education
the next generation deserves.

Families, educators, institutions and purpose-led projects: if we share an important question, it deserves a direct conversation.
